Their support signalled clear interest from both the city leadership and the state administration in developing open government in Banská Bystrica.
The discussion focused on:
“What would we need, and what can we contribute, to cooperate well on drafting the action plan?”
The discussion revealed a strong will on both sides – civil society and the city – to develop open government. It was also said that without trust, empathy, respect and good communication, participation and cooperation cannot fully develop.
Participants were introduced to the emerging Open Government Partnership Platform, which will be the framework for the participatory drafting of the action plan. The platform is open to anyone interested in taking part in shaping the strategy, planning and carrying out concrete steps.
The discussion was also captured visually, so that those who could not attend can go back to its content. The outputs are available as a graphic record.
