Participatory Women Leaders training curriculum

Project period: April 2021 – March 2022 Project team: Soňa Kariková, Dana Švihlová, Michaela Huľuková Project partners: Susan Morales Guerra, Kirsten Paaby Funding: Active Citizens Fund

The project aimed to create a draft curriculum for developing women's participatory leadership that supports a resilient, cohesive and engaged society. Participatory leadership is now seen as an effective approach to complex global challenges, so the project combined women's and participatory approaches to leadership and drew on the Art of Hosting – the art of leading meaningful conversations.

Research shows that women naturally tend towards inclusive and collaborative forms of leadership, which makes their involvement in participatory leadership especially valuable. The draft curriculum was developed through creative discussions, analyses, focus groups and expert consultations, and the project also drew on international cooperation with Norwegian partners and their strong tradition of women's and participatory leadership.
